Holiday Shopping @ the Barnes & Noble Book Fair
Plan to do your holiday shopping at the Barnes & Noble Book Fair on Nov. 30th (the Monday after Thanksgiving). From 4:00 to 8:00 pm a portion of the Barnes & Noble profits from the purchases of books, music DVD’s, cafe items, and gift items such as puzzles, games, book lights, etc. will benefit the Adams School Media Center. Please tell the cashier that you are with Adams Elementary School so that we can receive credit for your purchases.
Did you know that you can order Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes from the Barnes & Noble cafe? These cheesecakes make perfect food for holiday entertaining. We will have order forms available at the book fair. You can order for a specific pick-up date. Try the original, white chocolate raspberry, or neapolitan cheesecake. They are delicious! Barnes & Noble will donate up to $8.75 back to our school for the sale of each cheesecake ordered.
In addition to the great shopping opportunity, there will be many entertaining activites going on throughout the night such as... 4:00 & 4:30 Storytimes with Mrs. Schwanninger, Mrs. Bowhay, and Mrs. Van Pelt; 7:00 Adams Chorus performs; Scavenger Hunt Activities throughout the evening; and Lt. Col. Paul Adams and his wife, Alda will be available to visit and have students read to them from 6:30 to 7:30.

Mission Statement
The Adams Elementary Media Program strives to create a collaborative learning environment that operates as the hub of the school. The program supports the curriculum, promotes reading and the appreciation of literature, strengthens teaching and learning, and teaches the information literacy skills needed to be responsible and effective users of ideas; thus empowering the staff and students in our school community to be confident lifelong learners.
