When is the Media Center open?
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM( M, W, Th, F) and 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM (T)
How long can I have an item checked out?
Books check out for 3 weeks. Magazines, videos and CDs/Audio-cassettes all check out for 4 days.
Can I renew if I need an item longer?
Yes, everything can be renewed 2 times.
What fines will I pay if I don't return an item on time?
All items are charged 5 cents per school day past the due date.
How many items can I have checked out at once?
Five.
What types of items can be checked out of the media center?
Books, VHS and DVD videos, children's books, books on tape and CD, and computer CDs. A/V equipment such as digital video cameras and more needed for school projects are also available. See Mrs. Nelson in the media center for details. If you need any A/V equipment in your classroom, Mrs. Nelson is the person to see.
Do I need a pass from a teacher to come to the media center?
Yes, it needs to be your signed planner or a piece of paper that has your name on it.
What programs are on the media center computers for use on school projects?
Word, Excel, Inspiration, Firefox, Photoshop Elements, iMovie, Final Cut Express, iPhoto, eDisk, Garage Band, and PowerPoint.
Can I make copies in the media center?
Yes, 5 cents per side. The machine only takes nickels.
Where do I start when I come to do research in the media center?
Our website has a section of RESEARCH Quick Links in the top left hand corner. Those links will direct you to finding book resources in our media center, websites, databases, and help with citing your sources.
