It's a Southwest Media Scavenger Hunt!

Group 2:

1. All group members MUST work together on each assigned task.
   
2. You may NOT divide up responsibilities to do the hunt more quickly.
   
3. There are 8 tasks. You should have 7 items in your bag by the time you are finished.

   Task #1: Reference Collection

   • Find a set of encyclopedias titled, International Wildlife Encyclopedia .
     
   • Find the article about the "Eland"   (mark it with a library bookmark)
     (*Hint: Use the index in the highest numbered volume to find the volume needed...the volume number will be in bold print beside the entry)

   Task #2: Copying

   • Find the copy machine and use the nickel provided.
     
   • Make a front to back copy of the two pages on the copy machine.
     
   • Place your copy in your bag.

   Task #3: Online Catalog

   • Do an advanced search to find a nonfiction book at LSW about crime .
     
   • Find the book and put it in your bag.

   Task #4: Online Catalog

   • Do a subject search to find a biography. Your search: United States Presidents.
     (write down several call numbers before searching the shelves)
     
   • Find the book and put it in your bag.

   Task #5: Online Catalog  

   • Do an advanced search to find a fiction book at LSW about baseball, football, soccer, hockey or basketball.
     
   • Find the book and put it in your bag.

   Task #6: Names / Signatures

   • Use one piece of paper from the recycle bin.
     
   • Get signatures of those famous people who work in the LSW Media Center.
     
   • You must be able to state their names in order to collect their signatures.

   Task #7: LSW Database Passwords

   • Login to our database password link to find this answer:  
     • The ID and password for Literature Resource Center.
       
     • WRITE YOUR ANSWER ON THE PAPER WITH THE MEDIA SIGNATURES.

   Task #8: Daily Bulletin

   • Find and record what is for lunch today on a piece of recycled paper.
     
   • Three-hole punch the sheet of paper on which you just recorded the menu.
     
   • Place this paper in your bag
