The mission of Pound Middle School Media Center is to provide an inviting, flexible learning environment for staff and students that fosters the development of:

A collaborative learning community involving media staff, teachers, and students

The responsible use of a variety of information formats and the ability to select formats based on the information objective

Interaction with information that is based on critical thinking (21st Century Literacies)

The desire to read for personal curiosity and pleasure
